Scope
Custom Theme Engineering, Dynamic Booking API Routing, Strict Photoshop-to-Code Translation
valentine-haunt Valentine Haunt, an exclusive subsidiary attraction under the Fear Overload enterprise in Newark, CA, required a standalone digital footprint capable of capturing intense peak seasonal traffic. Their primary business bottleneck was establishing a highly specific, immersive visual identity—provided via complex Photoshop design files—while simultaneously integrating robust, enterprise-grade ticketing capabilities. They needed a technical architecture that separated this unique brand from the parent company’s aesthetic, while still delivering the exact same high-volume transactional power without relying on fragile, off-the-shelf templates.
To meet these exact requirements, I engineered a highly scalable custom WordPress theme natively from scratch. By executing a strict 1-to-1 native code translation directly from their Photoshop blueprints, I completely bypassed drag-and-drop builders to eliminate plugin conflicts and provide a bulletproof platform. This zero-bloat architecture seamlessly integrates a flexible booking engine with their immersive design, guaranteeing lightning-fast load times that prevent customer drop-off during peak ticket sales.
Strict Native UI Translation: Executed a flawless 1:1 native code translation from the client’s complex Photoshop blueprints. By engineering the aesthetic directly into the theme’s core, I perfectly preserved their highly specific, immersive visual design without relying on heavy visual builders that cause frontend lag and layout breaks.
Dynamic UI Booking Architecture: Engineered a deeply integrated native booking calendar customized to seamlessly match the subsidiary’s dark, seasonal UI without breaking user immersion. This highly scalable infrastructure empowers their administrative team to utilize the native calendar system or instantly route to external third-party ticket APIs depending on active event requirements.
Standalone Subsidiary Framework: Built on the robust foundation of my legacy custom theme engine, this architecture successfully isolates Valentine Haunt’s unique brand identity on the frontend, while retaining the enterprise-grade performance and checkout stability required by its high-volume parent network.
